Breeder code of ethics

Below is a list of ethics which we at Beccam Aussie Bulldogs have chosen as an individual breeder to follow, for the advancement and benefit of the Aussie Bulldog, potential owners and breeders.

I will maintain the highest standards of health and care for all dogs in my care and I will provide sufficient water, food, shelter, safety and veterinary attention as needed. I will not neglect or mistreat any dog in my care

I will vaccinate all pups bred by me at the appropriate age and provide vaccination certificates. I will worm all dogs in my care at appropriate times and provide information of medication used and next due date when placed into new homes by me.

I will provide proper socialization for all my dogs and puppies and interact with each daily.

I will perform each breeding for the improvement and advancement of the Aussie Bulldog. With an emphasis on good health, sound temperament and correct conformation while all the time referring to the breed standard set out by the breed founders Noel and Tina Green. (That can be found at our breed standard page or on the UABA website)

I will not breed from any dog that has a known genetic fault; that will shorten its lifespan or cause chronic illness. I will disclose all information to the parties concerned if a pup that is bred by me is known to have a health issue

I will not breed any male or female until they are both physically and mentally mature, and I will not continue to breed any male or female beyond an appropriate age.

I will keep accurate records of my Aussie Bulldogs.  These records will include registration certificates, stud service contracts, pedigrees, vaccination and breeding records.

I will register pups bred by me with the UABA and provide Registration certificates to new owners.

I will help and educate potential new owners as to the physical and mental characteristics of the Aussie Bulldog and help determine if it is the right breed for them.

I will be selective in the sale of my puppies and be concerned with the type of homes in which they are placed. I will make buyers aware of their responsibilities as dog owners. I will not sell pups bred by me through pet shops or like agents.

I will not release my puppies to their new homes before 8 weeks old.

I will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the Aussie Bulldog, nor falsely advertise, or mislead any person regarding the performance or pedigree of any Aussie Bulldog.

I will comply with all national, state and local government laws and regulations concerning the keeping of dogs.
